Nicholas knox

Strong initial growth

Nicholas Knox has spent the ” last few ” years working for some of the biggest names in car retailing, in and around his home town as the Service manager, controlling staff, budgets and more importantly customer service.

After seeing the local car repair work outsourced, Nicholas decided now was the time to look into the possibility of working for himself, and spent the next few months researching various car repair businesses and franchisees.

On deciding on the painttechnics franchise, Nicholas added “it was the range of different services that initially drew me to painttechnics, and the opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a new franchise model, at a more suitable cost, that were the biggest draws for me”

The franchise was started with good initial bookings from his first retail promotion, around £7000 in car body repairs, alloy wheel repairs, machine polishing and valeting was estimated over the two days.  Bookings are still coming in from his follow up calls to previous estimates, and immediate referral work generated by his first class repairs.

On his second promotion at a major supermarket, Nicholas and his “team” ran the promotion themselves and estimated over £8000 of potential work, leading to over 2 weeks work booked into his diary.

Even the well sign written van is doing its part, helping to promote the new business model, as he is constantly asked to stop to provide quotes to travelling motorists.

Not wanting to rest on his laurels, Nicholas also has his sights set on a massive call centre located just down the road, and is looking towards a few “selected” trade accounts to bolster his already growing list of customers.

Nicholas is now  looking forward to his new career, with machine polishing, or colour correction  already taking off.
